Read here everything you should know before visiting Tsoukalia beach.

Where is Tsoukalia Beach?

Tsoukalia Beach is located on the eastern side of the island, approximately in the middle of the distance between Naousa and Marpissa (7 km from Naousa and 5 km from Marpissa village). Thus, you can combine this beach with a visit to Naousa and Marpissa, as both settlements are a must in Paros. Furthermore, it is located in a close distance to other beaches, such as Glyfades and Kalogeros.

How to get to Tsoukalia Beach in Paros?

Tsoukalia is a secluded bay, so there is no public transportation that goes there. You can’t go on foot from Marpissa or from Naousa, because the distance is very long. In fact, the only way to get to Tsoukalia is by car.

You can rent a car and take the road from Naousa to Marpissa. From the main road, you turn left to the direction of Glyfades beach and you need about 1,5 km to reach Tsoukalia. However, keep in mind that the road is rough. It is better to rent an ATV or an 4×4 to explore the area conveniently.

Remember that renting a car in Paros is affordable and gives you the opportunity to explore the island at your own pace, visiting many beaches and villages and exploring the undiscovered side of the island.

Tsoukalia Beach is located near many other beaches, such as:

In fact, the eastern side of the island has numerous stunning beaches, such as Golden Beach and Drios (on the south-eastern side) or Santa Maria (on the north-eastern side), so you can discover many beaches in one day.

What to do in Tsoukalia: Activities and facilities

Tsoukalia is an unorganized beach. That means you should expect neither sunbeds nor umbrellas. We recommend you take your own umbrella or go to the beach early in the morning or late in the evening to protect yourself from dangerous sunlight.

Tsoukalia is the perfect opportunity to relax away from the crowds and explore the authentic side of the island. You can swim, snorkel or enjoy water sports, such as windsurf and kitesurf, but only if you have your own equipment, as there are no water-sports centers on the beach. However, Tsoukalia is a popular beach for wind sports, as it is exposed to northern winds. Thus, it attracts many fans of kite- and wind-surf.

Accommodation and restaurants

In the wider area of Tsoukalia beach, you can find many accommodation options, such as hotels, rooms to let, villas and guesthouses. There, you can also find many traditional taverns, restaurants and cafes.
